I was poking around on the local on-line bike marketplace a couple of weeks ago while listing one of my Grisos for sale and what should catch my attention but this great, bloated, lump.

I’d been looking for a half decent one for years but in Australia they are few and far between. Also I never thought we got roller tappet models here as I believed that the Norge was a one year only import in 2012 and I’d never seen one with a roller engine. Imagine my surprise when the owner kindly checked and sure enough it is a ‘13 and it does have rollers!

And yes, I couldn’t resist so it’s mine now. It is in Perth on the other side of the country 3,750km away. I was thinking of flying to pick it up but the cost of that far outweighed the cost of shipping and of course it’s an unknown quantity so I’d want to go through it and do all the remedial stuff before I took it on a long ride.

Not a bad buy for $5,560AU. Now if a Stelvio is known as ‘Fat Griso’ then this thing has to be ‘Morbidly Obese Griso’! ]]>
